George Cottage is a traditional stone cottage based in the heart of Mitcheldean, sleeping 6 or 8 with a sofa bed. It is set back from the road at the end of a little dog leg path behind other cottages and so is quiet and serene, with views of the hill behind – whilst affording direct access to the village amenities – late co-op store, post office, library, take-aways, pub etc.
It has a private courtyard, an open fire, a built in BBQ and wireless internet access.
It is suitable for family holiday breaks, mid-week mini breaks, pet and family friendly. We offer two night stays for Vantage Point Delegates, Pedalabikaway customers and Harts Barn Cookery School on a 10% reduction of our normal minimum hire rate of £300.00 for a long weekend. The cottage is offered as self catering, though local provenance B&B or three course dinner is available on request.
The interior features original art work by Nell Nile, Spike Island Print Makers, Franco Lewitt and vintage textiles and soft furnishings too – including reindeer fur rugs on the sofas!

There are extensive family attractions and activities through the Forest of Dean.
There are 15 bike racks in the yard and a hose for bike cleaning, and a big boot rack made out of forest wood!
